Conditions of Acceptance
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING CONTRACT/QUOTATION

  1. The regulations relating to animals in quarantine are laid down by DEFRA and shall be enforced by Little Acre Quarantine Kennels at all times.
  2. In accordance with the requirements of DEFRA all dogs and cats entering quarantine are vaccinated against rabies on arrival irrespective of previous vaccinations

    Note: a rabies "waiver" certificate will be applied for in the case of pets being quarantined under the early release scheme – subject to all documents being in order.
  3. We require all pets in our care to be fully vaccinated against the common illnesses. Dogs to be inoculated against Distemper, Hardpad, Leptospirosis and Hepatitis also Parvo Virus. Cats against Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu. We are happy to accept current certificates but these must arrive either before or with your pet. Failure to do so will result in your pet being vaccinated and your account debited accordingly. This also applies to vaccinations falling due whilst you pet is in our care.
  4. As storage space is very limited all travelling kennels must be removed within twenty-eight days of your arrival or they will be disposed of.
  5. Owners or their representatives are welcome to visit their pets on any weekday afternoon between 2 and 4pm. Saturday afternoons between 12 noon and 4pm, in the interest of security, maximum of three persons per unit please, (pets may not be removed from their accommodation). Visiting outside these times is strictly by appointment only, we are closed on Sundays and all Bank Holidays.
  6. Decisions regarding treatment, medicines or special diets shall be at the absolute discretion of the Veterinary Superintendent, any treatment required, unless covered by Insurance will be debited to your account.
  7. Whilst every care and attention will be given to pets, Little Acre Quarantine Kennels cannot be held responsible for any illness, loss or damage to any animal, however caused, during their stay.
  8. Every dog and cat will be groomed regularly. All clipping, stripping and shampooing (as required or requested) are charged extra.
  9. Any items (toys, blankets, baskets etc) are left completely at the owners risk. We cannot accept responsibility for laundering or for loss or damage however caused.
  10. On payment of the initial deposit a kennel will be kept prepared and vacant for fourteen days from the date that the animal is due to arrive (as stated on your Contract) after which this payment will be forfeited.
  11. When shipping your pet either by air or sea, 7 DAYS NOTICE confirming intended arrival is required – along with flight or ferry times and travel kennel dimensions if applicable. Any expenses incurred through failure to give appropriate details (including Customs Clearance and Animal Reception Charges), will be debited to your account, Little Acre Quarantine Kennels has no control over opening/closing times of Airline Handling and HM Customs Offices.
  12. One months notice in writing must be given by owners who wish to transfer their pets to another quarantine facility, this also applies where exporting is required before the quarantine period has been completed, the animal will not be released until all charges have been paid in full.

    If any account falls into arrears Little Acre Quarantine Kennels shall be at liberty to dispose of the animals without further notice to the owner other than one demand for payment, sent to the owners address in the UK and overseas as stated in the Contract.

    ANY CHANGE OF ADDRESS MUST BE NOTIFIED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE
